CRAS Woodgroup chooses SAP S/4HANA via Ctac
The West Flemish wood company embraces digital switch
Antwerp, 26 February 2019 – CRAS Woodgroup, specialist in wood since 1878, has entered into a partnership with Business & Cloud Integrator Ctac to integrate its business processes and turn real-time data into actionable insights. The wood company is replacing its outdated custom-made legacy system with SAP S/4 HANA. This enables CRAS Woodgroup to make informed decisions based on integrated standard processes. In addition, it benefits from optimal flexibility, high productivity and a minimal administrative burden.
Because the various company entities were unable to use the same standard way of working, the outdated legacy system was beginning to become a risk for CRAS Woodgroup’s continuity and efficiency. Moreover, the processes required a significant amount of manual work, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. The wood company started looking for a new system. One that wouldn’t just achieve standardization, but also had to serve as a basis for future developments, such as ecommerce initiatives and a performant CRM package. Together with Ctac, CRAS Woodgroup found a new solution in SAP S/4HANA, a fully integrated ERP system that delivers standard built-in processes for product, service and asset oriented organizations, based on best practices.
Real-time digital platform
With SAP S/4HANA, CRAS Woodgroup will be provided with a real-time digital platform that’s ready for the future. All of its processes are centralized in one system, which means all business units and locations will be able to use the same, integrated platform. The organization is switching from a self-developed system with a lot of customization to a standard solution with various functionalities, such as real-time reporting, up-to-date stock visibility, real-time MRP and available-to-promise checks.
